5 year old response: Mrs. Dougherty, when your baby is all ready, the hospital will call you and then you can go and pick it up."

Telling my various students (ages 6-11) gave me a varied response:
"Awww!"
"Oh, so that's why you're getting fatter!"
"You're so lying, Mrs. Magreevy!"
"I'll be your babysitter."
You have to love children. :-)
