My Sneaky Husband...

Today was to be just another ordinary Monday. Around 7am this morning, Curt had headed off to work and I sat down to eat my breakfast and make some plans for the day. Well, about 45 minutes later, I heard my name being called from downstairs, which of course scared the living day lights out of me because I was supposed to be alone, by Curt! Confused, I walked into the hallway and saw my awesome husband coming up the stairs with flowers! Not only did he bring me flowers, he had taken the day off of work weeks ago, didn't tell me, and made plans to drive to the coast so we could spend the day at the beach! Yes, BONUS POINTS were received. I was shocked, very happy, and very impressed. We had an awesome day at Great Yarmouth just walking through the town and up and down the beach. I was thrilled to have my feet in the sand and water. It was a beautiful day so we really lucked out. With Red Flag (and a new baby!) just around the corner, this was just the perfect timing. I just love hangin' out with him, we had a fabulous day. So, like I said, My Sneaky Husband!

The lilies, which are only my favorite flower in the whole world:

A Comparison in 4D:

Baby Moe:

So, now that we have some 4D images of Baby Girl Dougherty (see previous post) I thought it would be kind of fun to do some comparisons. My mom sent me some pictures of both Curt and I as babies so I could look at them next to the 4D images. I have to say, so far the response has been 50/50. Some think she looks more like Me, and some think she looks more like Curt. I'm torn! I guess I will just have to be patient and wait for her official arrival.

Baby Curt:

So what do YOU think?

Baby Girl Dougherty In 4D

Curt and I went to our 4D ultrasound this morning and it was so great! They only do the ultrasounds here for about 20 minutes, but we managed to walk away with about 10 black and white images and 12 color. It was AWESOME! She was "sleeping" but still moving around enough for us to get some really great pictures of her beautiful face. She started out with her foot in the way, but towards the middle and the end she was being quite the ham, and gave us some great pictures! We're just so excited to meet her.

Now, you will all have to let me know, but Curt and I can't decide if she looks more like Me, or more like Him?!?! What do you think? We do know she has some pinchable cheeks, that's for sure!

I will most likely be gazing at these images for the rest of the day. She is beautiful, we just love her so much!

(FYI: even though we already knew, our ultrasound technician confirmed that she is definitely a GIRL!)

In the beginning, foot in face!:

In the rest of the images, you can see that her right arm is positioned near her head and it didn't move but once the whole time we were there. I wonder if this will be how she sleeps when she's born? hmmm...

So, what do you think??? Mini Moe? or Mini Curt? Either way, we both agreed she's nothing shy of perfect! We're some pretty proud parents already...

Someone Is Getting Excited!!!

Yes, what you see here is Curt packing his "diaper dude" bag. I didn't want to subject him to Kate Spade diaper bag I chose and this one just seemed much more appropriate.

Well, last weekend as we were going through the bunches of stuff we have already received and trying to organize it, I noticed a small pile off to the side that Curt had started building. Curt was upstairs when I realized this and before I could ask him what he was doing, he returned to the room and he had his diaper bag in his hand. He then sat down, and started to fill it. He has been daydreaming tons about how great life will be once she arrives, and I love it.

(Again, I apologize for the foggy picture!)

Baby Santillo's New Digs!

My sister Colleen and her husband Steve are totally on top of things! They have completely finished their baby boy-to-be's room. It's all about the sports, which is so perfect for them. I'm sure they are in there constantly just daydreaming about how great it will be once he finally arrives. November just can't come soon enough, right guys? It looks great!

Another Dresser, let's buy some clothes!!!:

And finally a pretty decent size closet that hopefully he appreciates some day!:

I think the room looks so great, you guys did a fantastic job. So fantastic, maybe you want to do ours??? I'm thinking...pretty in pink! Let me know...

Locks Of Love!

So, my sister Mariel is just awesome. She donated 10 inches(!!!) of hair this past weekend to Locks of Love, which most of you know is the organization that takes donations of human hair to make wigs for cancer patients. Anyway, this was just an amazing thing that she did. I wish I had the patience to let my hair grow that long...

Here is the before:

(ps: I'm on a blogging RAMPAGE!)

A Beautiful "Thank You"

I just wanted to give an informal "thank you" to Missy, Abi, and Audrey who clearly went above and beyond when it came to hosting my shower last weekend. I felt so great that day and everything went just beautifully. I have loads of pictures to post and lots of details to write all about the party, which I will do as soon as I get the rest of the pic's from my sister.

Anyway, not only did these girls host my shower, but they even sent my mom a beautiful flower arrangement to her house in Pennsylvania on that day to thank her for helping them out with some of the planning. My Mom was completely surprised, she loved them. Aren't they beautiful?

Thank you Missy, Abi, and Audrey! You girls are the greatest...
